Ulcers are a raw spot and are especially common in the stomach. Your ulcer causes pain in the upper abdomen, and the pain may be worse after eating. Common causes are (1) an infection, H. pylori, (2) stomach acid, and (3) meds such as ibuprofen or aspirin. If you have abdominal pain and nausea, you need to see a physician. Commonly, an endoscopy (a scope) will be performed.
