Stomach ulcers:

Ulcers are a raw spot and are especially common in the stomach.  Your ulcer causes pain in the upper abdomen, and the pain may be worse after eating.  Common causes are (1) an infection, H. pylori, (2) stomach acid, and (3) meds such as ibuprofen or aspirin.  If you have abdominal pain and nausea, you need to see a physician.  Commonly, an endoscopy (a scope) will be performed.

Endoscopy Center of Oak Ridge:

We are proud of the quality care we deliver to our patients.  In 2009, the Endoscopy Center was named the benchmark facility for endoscopy by an independent agency, the Surgical Outcomes Information Exchange.  Consistently, 98% of patients rate the quality of care as excellent and would refer a friend or family member for care.  The physicians and staff of the Endoscopy Center always strive to give you excellent care.
