Procedure Scheduling Staff

You will have received your instructions for any needed preparation by our staff before you come to the endoscopy center.  Of course, you will need a driver to take you home.  Please bring your insurance card and any needed co-pay or deductible with you.  If you cannot keep your appointment, please notify us in advance.  If you fail to notify us and you miss your appointment, you will be billed an missed appointment fee.

After signing in, you will be interviewed by our staff, and you will have time to review and sign needed paperwork.   A small intravenous (IV) catheter will be placed by our nurses. Your physician will speak with you prior to the procedure.  Sedation will be given to improve your comfort.

Your procedure usually will last 30 minutes.  After the procedure, you will be sleepy and may not remember the procedure.  Your family will be brought to your recovery room.

Your physician will speak with you and your family (if you wish) after the procedure. Once you are ready for discharge, your instructions will be given, and our staff will take you down to your car.  Again, you cannot drive an automobile for 24 hours after the procedure and will need a driver to take you home.
